Cori Cook Floral Design + Sara Hasstedt | Denver Botanic Gardens

We can't imagine a more feminine, dreamy style of photography than the amazingness that happens behind Sara Hasstedt's camera.  I'm shouting it from the rooftops: "Hire Sara and then hire us too, and I promise we'll make your wedding beautiful!"  When she sent over these images a few weeks ago, we all squealed and danced and maybe shed a tear or two.  They have been burning a hole in my pocket ever since and I just want to share this loveliness with the world!

This wedding just confirms our ever growing love of film photography.  Film is just so dreamy and soft, so beautiful and timeless.  We feel like it's the perfect match for our style of floral design and for this gorgeous bride.  Sorry about the rant, but I can't guarentee another film-gushing conversation won't happen again in the near future.

Now about the flowers!  It is so perfectly refreshing to work with brides that TRUST us, who have a look and vibe in mind, but trust us to make the little decisions along the way to make their flowers beautiful and unique.  I love that Jessica enjoys so much texture and freedom in design.  It was an absolute blast to work with such fun flowers...king protea, blushing bride, coral peonies, garden roses, viburnum, snaps, blooming jasmine vine...just so fun.  Even though we're tired and we've been working our little fingers to the bone this season, it's days like this that I sit back and think, "I'm so blessed to get to be a part of such beauty."  So thank you Sara, and thank you Jessica for that amazing reminder!

Congrats Jessica + Matthew!  To see more, check out the Snippet & Ink feature on this wedding here.

Fresh Industrial Glam Inspiration | Kerinsa Marie Photography

I don't even know where to begin in describing this shoot.  I think as a floral designer, my greatest desire is to be able to document the work that we do.  So often in a wedding setting, this just doesn't happen.  There are often reasons outside of our control or the photographers control for not getting the detail images we all want, but my heart breaks sometimes when I think about all the beautiful work that we have put out over the years that was never beautifully photographed.  Enter Kerinsa Marie Photography.  The best detail documenter of all time.  But seriously.  When we met last year at a mutual wedding, I was literally blown away by the way she captured every last detail of the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.  And she does it all in her signature timeless, heartfelt crisp photography style.  So needless to say, we are huge fans! So when she reached out to put this shoot together, we were ALL IN.

Christyn & Cammye from We Tie the Knots brought together the design and put together a great team of vendors.  Bethany of Maeve & Peach designed some of the most gorgeous hand-lettered details like menus, invitations, place cards, all adding to the romantic vibe of this shoot.

As much as I love shoots in the mountains and in the lush Colorado landscape, it was nice for a change to have more of a polished, sophisticated, studio look for this shoot.  Without further, ado, here it is!  Hope you love it as much as we do!!!  Also, check out our feature on Style Me Pretty here.

Alix + Vince | Mile High Station, Denver

Alix + Vince's wedding was the perfect way to start 2014!  I just loved working with this bride.  Her style is sophisticated, but also playful and her approach to wedding planning was free-spirited, giving us the freedom to be creative and fun.  I love how it turned out.  We Tie the Knots, yet again, blew us away with their vision for a ceremony in the round, their fabulous linen choices, and their amazing ability to plan and design beautiful, seamless weddings.  If you haven't noticed, we LOVE working with them.

And in our opinion, there is no better time to get married than Spring...the flower choices are UNREAL.  For this one, we chose a palette of white anemones with sweet dark centers, blush o'hara roses, blush sahara roses, bluah aushwater roses, (are you seeing a theme here?), stock, hydrangea, ranunculus, blooming jasmine vine, bayleaf...ahhhh!!!

Summer Garden Soiree | Crooked Willow Farms

This weddings rocks.  My favorite thing about it was working so closely with the bride and her very design-savvy mother.  By the end of the planning process, I felt like I had made some great new friends.  It was just one of those special ones that leaves a lasting impression and a good feeling that you can only get from working with wholesome, wonderful people like this bunch.

It was also special because we were able to take some of our very new design learnings from a recent rock-your-world-kind-of-floral-workshop we had attended, and immediately apply them to the design of this wedding with stunning results.  This would have all been exciting in and of itself, but then Brumley & Wells came on the scene and literally blew us out of the water with their gorgeous film images...It was pretty much a dream come true.  We now literally talk the ear off of anyone getting married about how amazing they are.  Because they are.

Anyway, the truth about us is that we love to design in a variety of styles.  We don't really like to pigeon-hole ourselves into one style because that can get uninteresting really fast.  We like sophisticated, high-end weddings, we like barn weddings, we looooove a farm wedding, we like urban weddings, desert weddings, and modern weddings.  But when it really comes down to it, I feel like these centerpieces and bouquets were a little extension of my true heart.  I love the natural, gardeny, whimsical shape of them and couldn't be happier with a color palette of pinks, corals, whites, yellows, and greens.  You really just can't go wrong with coral peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, scabiosa flower, jasmine vine, geranium...

Sorry about the ramble.  But come on.  This wedding rocks.  Agreed?  To hear more backstory on this wedding, check out the feauture on Style Me Pretty.
