Carolyn + Tom | Highlands Ranch Mansion | We Tie the Knots

Carolyn and Tom made every part of their weddng unique and special to them and hand-crafted most of the wedding details themselves. This couple even hollowed out aspen stumps for us to use as containers for their centerpieces and also created table number pendants with the names of all the mountains they've climbed together in Colorado. Their love is sweet, simple, and genuine. What a fun wedding that I not only got to design but also attended as a friend of Carolyn and Tom. You two are a joy to me!

Love,
Liz

Bigger is Better | Matt & Tessa | Highlands Ranch Mansion

If there is one thing I learned during my time at college in Texas, it was that "Bigger is Better" (well at least for Texans it is). And Matt & Tessa's wedding was no exception to this rule. The couple met at college in Waco, Texas and so of course their wedding had to have a little southern flare to it. With a huge bridal party (13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen!), tall candelabra centerpieces, fluffy and romantic peony bouquets, and a four-tiered cake, bigger was definitely better for this wedding.

Tessa and Matt - it was a joy to get to design for your wedding and also attend all the festivities. You are wonderful friends and I'm so excited for your marriage!

Enjoy looking at all the Texas lovin'!

- Liz

My Best Friend's Wedding | Carolyn + Daniel | Mile High Station

Every day I am surrounded by love and weddings and beautiful things. People constantly ask me, "Do you ever get sick of weddings?" And my answer is always, "Absolutely not!" I love celebrating marriage. Two people committing their lives to one another forever is a beautiful thing. Last October I had the honor of standing next to two of my best friends in the world as they gave their lives to one another. Carolyn has been my best friend since we were five years old and Daniel and I instantly became best friends when we met three years ago. I was actually the one to introduce these two and will always claim that I knew from the moment they met that they would get married. It didn't take long for them to realize it either. I can only hope that every person would get to witness at some point in their lives an unconditional love like Daniel and Carolyn's. It is genuine, it is sacrificial, it is fun and adventurous, it is constant.

Not only was I the maid of honor for this wedding, but I also had the opportunity to design all of their flowers. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was getting to hand Carolyn her bouquet. You better believe I cried like a baby!

Daniel and Carolyn: You two are a blessing and a gift to me. Still can't believe I got to stand beside both of you on your wedding day. You show me an incredible picture of marriage every day and I'm so grateful for you two in my life!

Love, Liz

The Sanctuary Golf Club Wedding | Laura + Ryan

One of my favorite parts of being a floral designer is getting to meet with a bride and groom and dream up fabulous ideas for their wedding. Making every wedding unique and different for each couple that we design for is an important value of ours at Cori Cook Floral Design. We are constantly being inspired by new flowers, techniques, shapes, colors, and textures, so when Laura and Ryan came into the studio to meet with us, I was overjoyed at their desire to be creative and adventurous with the design for their wedding. Ribbon treatments (again, our favorite), monochromatic bouquets, centerpieces made out of antlers and pheasant feathers, hanging glass globes, and baby's breath poofs down the aisle are just a few of the elements that made up this amazing winter wonderland wedding.

Laura and Ryan, your wedding was an absolute dream to design! Thank you for trusting me and letting me run with your ideas. You were brave and adventurous and I love that. Not to mention - you were also fearless about getting married in February in Colorado! We love winter weddings.  We love adventure and creativty.  And we love you two!

Congrats! -Liz

P.S. A special shoutout again to Christyn at We Tie The Knots. We love doing weddings together. She is a brilliantly talented designer and one of the best coordinators we know! She truly made this whole event come together cohesively and creatively. Christyn - You rock!
