Cozy Winter Wedding | Beaver Creek, Colorado

It's a Happy New Year here at Cori Cook Floral Design!!!

With so much to celebrate in 2014 and even more to look forward to in 2015, we are a happy, contented bunch!  Wishing you and yours an amazing year filled with newness, excitement, and deeply-rooted JOY!

Enjoy this gorgeous winter wedding that happened last month in Beaver Creek, Colorado!  It is the quintessential winter wedding, balancing the blustery cold of a snowy day in Beaver Creek with warm fur wraps, glowing candlelight, and the perfect floral palette of golds, greens, and whites.  I love how it turned out and can't imagine a more glamorous, gorgeous bride than this.  Congrats Anna Katherine + Eric!

The Sanctuary Golf Club Wedding | Laura + Ryan

One of my favorite parts of being a floral designer is getting to meet with a bride and groom and dream up fabulous ideas for their wedding. Making every wedding unique and different for each couple that we design for is an important value of ours at Cori Cook Floral Design. We are constantly being inspired by new flowers, techniques, shapes, colors, and textures, so when Laura and Ryan came into the studio to meet with us, I was overjoyed at their desire to be creative and adventurous with the design for their wedding. Ribbon treatments (again, our favorite), monochromatic bouquets, centerpieces made out of antlers and pheasant feathers, hanging glass globes, and baby's breath poofs down the aisle are just a few of the elements that made up this amazing winter wonderland wedding.

Laura and Ryan, your wedding was an absolute dream to design! Thank you for trusting me and letting me run with your ideas. You were brave and adventurous and I love that. Not to mention - you were also fearless about getting married in February in Colorado! We love winter weddings.  We love adventure and creativty.  And we love you two!

Congrats! -Liz

P.S. A special shoutout again to Christyn at We Tie The Knots. We love doing weddings together. She is a brilliantly talented designer and one of the best coordinators we know! She truly made this whole event come together cohesively and creatively. Christyn - You rock!

Winter Wedding in Estes Park | The Della Terra | Molly + Zach

Winter weddings are some of my favorite to design!  Maybe it's because they are few and far between in a state that could either be an insane blizzard or beautiful and sunny on any given day in January.  Either way, I adore the textures, colors, and types of flowers that are available in January.  And when we go with the season and what florals are available in their prime, it adds to my glee.

Molly was a joy to work with, and I know I say this a lot, but her and Zack are beautiful people.  They are obviously a gorgeous pair, but they are also gracious, kind, and overall beautiful inside and out.  I so enjoyed working with them!

For Molly & Zach's winter wedding in Estes Park, at the Della Terra Mountain Château, we designed florals that were both modern and seasonal.  We used beautiful, white amaryllis, freesia, black and white anenomes, silver brunia, mini pinecones, roses, dusty miller, pine branches, eucalyptus, and blue privet berries.  Oh, how I love how these bouquets and centerpieces turned out.  For centerpieces, we designed in lovely birch wrapped pots and used full sized pinecones.  Cozy accents like sweater-wrapped vases, yarn balls, and wood rounds were used as accents on escort card tables, cocktail tables, and a beautiful table full of wedding pictures from the bride and groom's families.

Congrats, Molly & Zach!  Enjoy marriage.  It's the best thing ever!
